At an unnamed MPLS City greenspace located E. Minnehaha Parkway and 35th Ave S (https://goo.gl/maps/YqQ1E7Rf95mwkz9z6). Park is S of Minnehaha Creek, E of S 34th Ave, N of the parkway. Street Parking in neighborhood around 35th Ave S.

Note: we will start at the above location and then progress to nearby trails.

This is an opportunity to develop your skills in a welcoming, fun, collaborative environment! 

 

Who is this for?

  • Riders who identify as FTW (Femme, Transgender, Women)

  • Off-road riders, gravel riders, or "cyclocrossers" who have completed Dirt School or CX 1 and want to refresh and further develop their skills.

NOTE that mountain bike pedals or flat pedals are required. You must have completed Dirt School, CX 1, or have instructor permission to register.

Goals/Objectives:

 

  • Meet other FTWs who share your off-road cycling interest. Build community. Find ride buddies!

  • Review/Refresh skills developed in prior classes and then utilize them by "sessioning" features in the woods. 

  • Play off-road skill-building games. 

  • Build confidence with skills adapted to your level among a supportive group of peers.

NOTE: Class size is limited to 10 riders. This allows me to provide each athlete with sufficient attention and support to encourage growth.  Register early!

Instructor Corey Coogan Cisek has competed in cyclocross, mountain bike, gravel and road since 2007. She is a 2-time National Cyclocross Champion in the Master's Category. During the winter, she races cyclocross professionally in Belgium, including representing the U.S. in World Cup competition. She has 12 years experience coaching endurance sports, including cycling, Nordic skiing, and running. Her passion is teaching bike skills and cyclocross.
